Well what can I say...
This year I have been working at the Jazzschool as Events Manager (handling concert and workshop bookings) and as Youth Program Coordinator (developing jazz music education curriculum for students aged 10-18 and putting together ensembles and summer music camps). I've also been leading sectionals on a weekly basis for the Berkeley High School Jazz Ensemble trombone section.
When I'm not in school mode, I'm gigging as much as possible with bands including Ewing Berkeley & Bagale, an electrified funk/soul/jazz trio, Groovus a 13 piece funk cover band, Sofrito, a salsa/latin-jazz band, and various other projects. In March of 2006 I will be presenting a concert at the jazzschool with a group I've put together called The Radiohead Project which will be performing new jazz arrangements I'm doing of the music of Radiohead.
Other than that I try to practice the bass and trombone as much as possible.
